Solo Travellers

When flying solo, it’s just you on an adventure with Cape Town. Go where you like, see what you like, do what you like… you’ll never be at a loss here – especially with our Private Travel Concierge to point you in the right direction.

Or stay in if you like… Our Gardens hotel is an oasis of calm in the city, allowing you to dip in and out of the out of the action. With us, you can look forward to a getaway that is unapologetically carefree and luxuriously laid back.

Check In

Your Luxury Room is serene, neutral and smart, brought up to date by including retro-is-back furnishings and simple accents of colour to lift the mood. What never goes out of style, though is a big bed, delicious food and top-notch service, including room service and in-room spa therapies. Add in your own patio with a bistro set, lounge and satellite television, and there’s really no need to get out of your gown and slippers.

Perhaps the best part of our hotel is the lovely location. The city’s increasingly enticing home-grown foodie, design and shopping scene has sprung around it, meaning you’ve found one of the best places from which to plug into Capetonian life. A little further out (by no more than 30 minutes) there are beaches, nature reserves, townships, historical sights, winelands… with small groups (or private) tours linking you to the best of.

Our hotel lounges are comfy spaces to… well, lounge. The mood is low key, with one offering a roaring fire in winter and in summer, the other opens onto a shady terrace. Afternoon tea (our treat) is served wherever you choose to install yourself – perhaps with a good read? Our library, on a give-take basis, is handy if you’ve forgotten yours somewhere. Come 6pm the vibe gets more social with pre-dinner snacks and port (on us).

Breakfast – a buffet and à la carte feast – is put on by us in the breakfast room. It’s a wholesome start to a day out and about, but when you start feeling peckish again, work delving into the city’s vibrant restaurant culture into your exploring. Apart from local Malay cuisine, influences from all over the world have made their way into everything from street food to fine dining. We’ll happily provide some recommendations…
