Our Family Welcomes Yours
As a family-owned and -managed hotel, ours is a welcoming environment for your family – of any size and all generations.
We are flexible – with accommodations, meals, and outings – to keep everyone happy. Including your children who, fizzing with the excitement of discovering a new place, need a little extra freedom to explore, play, and just be kids.
Family Suites and Interleading Luxury Suites give your children their own en-suite bedrooms – just like home, only better! With new and exciting toys to play with, fluffy gowns and slippers, and bath-time amenities – our friendly spaces will have them settled in no time.
Breakfasts in our eatery bring everyone around the table. The buffet offers anything you fancy – from fruit smoothies to buttery pastries – and the warm menu includes children’s meals, but we will happily adapt any dish for their taste. And with room service, there are always treats to look forward to… like late-night chocolate brownies and ice cream (in bed!).
With every comfort and convenience afforded, your family can enjoy maximum quality time, which is kept stress-free. Our Private Travel Concierge is always on hand to help you organise family outings or couple’s time together, while our childminding service – more like a play date! – keeps your children entertained and out of mischief.
Some ideas for family fun time:
Penguin Experience at Two Oceans Aquarium (V&A Waterfront) – During their much-loved Penguin interaction, come nose to beak with too-cute rescued rockhopper penguins – one might even hop onto your lap!
Bishopscourt Village Park (Liesbeek River) – Take a picnic along (we can pack one for you) and enjoy the sunshine, while your children splash in the stream, clamber over the rocks, and climb trees
Kaskazi Kayaks And Adventures (Mouille Point) – Paddle along the Table Bay coastline for a different perspective on the city and mountainside, and some Heaviside’s dolphins might join you…
Cape Wheel (V&A Waterfront) – Take a turn on this Ferris wheel for a 360° view of the cityscape, Table mountain, Paarl Mountains, and Robben Island
Cool Runnings (Tygervalley) – Whizz round the twists and curves of Africa’s first downhill tobogganing track – it’s an adventure to blow your hair back
Acrobranch (Constantia) – Move through the forest like Tarzan and Jane on aerial obstacle courses of zip lines, treetop high ropes, ladders, tunnels, and net bridges
Story Time at the Book Lounge (Cape Town city centre) – While your children are lost in magical tales, have a browse through their many, many interesting (and sometimes unusual) books, or enjoy a cuppa in the coffee shop
City Sightseeing Bus (V&A Waterfront) – See the most popular attractions in a day – a great option if you are limited for time, and your children get a free activity pack to keep them occupied between stops
