Cape Art Style

If you enjoy visiting a new city to see how the locals live, then Kloof Street should be top of your list.

At the bottom of Kloof Street you’ll find the Lifestyle on Kloof Centre, and the hub of activity that surrounds it. If you enjoy people watching, you’ll appreciate the Vida E Caffe two blocks below the centre. You’ll also find a number of stylish stores surrounding this hotspot.

The Lifestyle Centre is known for a few reasons: the Knead bakery offers delightfully fresh and delicious breads, croissants and baked treats. The Wellness Warehouse upstairs has everything you could possibly need to live an eco-friendly life (as well as a delicious café that serves fresh, wholesome food that tastes fantastic). They also have a décor shop with eco-friendly design elements. While you’re upstairs, be sure to check what’s on at the Labia independent cinema – this is an offshoot of the main cinema (on Orange St) but still a great spot to catch some interesting movies. There are then the good old fashioned staples of Woolworths for groceries, and Reader’s Warehouse for reading material.

“Local Living” (Tripadvisor)

“First of all, Alan is amazing! If you stay here you have a back door as if you were a local. Great room amenities and then there is the food. All locally prepared and very tasty. Staff is accommodating and the communal facilities are very trendy. I’d love to stay longer. It is mere meters away from Kloof Street so you get to “stay” with the local neighbors.”

Kloof Street Cafe Food

Da Vincis is literally metres away from More Quarters.

“Open for more than 20 years, this neighbourhood eatery consistently churns out yummy meals and happy customers. The menu covers all the bases – burgers, pizza, pasta and grills – and does so with abundance and aplomb. The delectable thin-based pizzas cooked in wood-fired oven are all named after painters, like Donatello (with anchovies, capers, olives), Dali (ham and mushroom), Raphael (bacon, roquefort, fig) and many more. Burgers are handcrafted, juicy and delicious, as is the prime-aged sirloin steak and legendary barbecue spare ribs.” Eat Out Review

We are happy to order from their menu for you should you prefer to stay in.
